Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we do not do with it
Who We Are
Vancouver IPTV operates the website vancouveriptv.com and provides IPTV subscriptions to customers in Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information you give us or that is generated when you use the site.
What We Collect
We keep data collection deliberately narrow. We collect:
- Contact and enquiry details submitted through our forms: your name, email address, the device and player app you use, a description of your problem, and any screenshot you choose to attach.
- Subscription details: the email address linked to your subscription and the plan you ordered.
- Payment reference information: the order number and confirmation associated with your payment. We never see or store full card numbers, bank credentials or wallet private keys. Card payments are handled entirely by our payment processor, and crypto payments are confirmed on the public blockchain.
- Standard server logs generated by our hosting provider: IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. These are used for security and troubleshooting.
What We Do Not Collect
We do not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising or behavioural tracking on this site.
We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not track what you watch. Viewing activity sits with the upstream providers and the player app you install, not with this website.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, for any purpose.
How Form Submissions Are Handled
Our contact and support forms are delivered by email rather than being written into a website database. That means your enquiry lives in our support mailbox, not in the site itself, which reduces the amount of personal data stored on the web server.
Screenshots you attach are uploaded to the site so they can be sent with your ticket. Do not include passwords, banking details or other sensitive information in a screenshot.
Why We Use Your Information
- To create, activate and support your subscription.
- To reply to enquiries and resolve technical problems.
- To send the transactional emails your order requires, such as your login details.
- To keep the site secure and detect abuse.
- To meet legal or regulatory obligations where they apply.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of functional cookies only:
- Caching cookies set by LiteSpeed Cache so pages load quickly and correctly.
- WordPress session cookies, used only if you log in to the site as an administrator.
- Form security cookies used to prevent automated spam submissions.
We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though pages may load more slowly.
Service Providers
A small number of providers process data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy obligations:
- Hostinger — website hosting and server logs.
- Our email provider — delivery of support replies and subscription emails.
- Our payment processor, Remitly, and the blockchain networks — payment processing. We receive confirmation of payment and a reference, never your card details or wallet keys.
How Long We Keep It
Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve your issue and to handle any follow-up, then deleted on a routine basis. Subscription records are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for billing and dispute purposes. Server logs are retained on a short rolling window by our host.
Your Rights
Under Canadian privacy law you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, and to ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
Send your request to support@vancouveriptv.com from the email address linked to your subscription so we can verify it is you. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
This service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, access to our systems is limited to accounts that need it, and we deliberately minimise the personal data stored on the web server. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The revision date at the top of the page shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
