IPTV subscription price by plan length: cost per month in CAD

The longer the plan, the lower the IPTV subscription price per month. Here is the market median next to our plans, for one device.

Compare the price per month, not the headline

Divide what you pay by the months you get. A $59.99 year is $5.00 a month. A $25 month bought 12 times is $300.

All prices in CAD, one device. USD prices converted at the Bank of Canada rate of 1.4240 (October 8, 2026).

Our one-month price sits above the market median. From three months on, our IPTV subscription price drops well below it.

One-device plans, checked October 9, 2026. Seller H’s year includes 30 bonus days. Prices can change.

Three things stand out. Single months cluster near $20. Yearly prices differ by more than $70. And three of the nine show a crossed-out “regular” price beside the real one.

How to compare any IPTV subscription price in 3 steps

  1. Convert it to CAD. Use the day’s rate, then add 2.5% if the seller bills in US dollars.
  2. Divide by the months you get. Count bonus days, and ignore any crossed-out “regular” price.
  3. Check the trial and refund terms. A low price without a trial or a written refund policy is a gamble.

1 device or 2: what the second screen adds

A second screen adds $40 a year on our plans: $59.99 for one device, $99.99 for two. That is about $4.17 per screen each month.

The second screen changes the IPTV subscription price less than most people expect. Choose two devices only if two people watch different channels at the same time. A family with a living room TV and a bedroom TV is the usual case.

Hidden costs: USD billing, card fees, app fees and renewals

The sticker is not always what leaves your account. Four extras can push an IPTV subscription price up after checkout.

Ask for the total in CAD

Before you pay any seller, ask for the final amount in Canadian dollars, tax included. It is the only number you can compare.

USD billing and card fees

A USD-billed IPTV subscription price moves with the exchange rate. At the Bank of Canada rate of 1.4240, a $99.99 USD year costs $142.39 CAD.

Your card then adds its own fee. TD and National Bank both charge 2.5% on purchases in a foreign currency. On that USD year, the fee adds $3.56, for $145.95 in total.

App fees

The player app can be a second bill. IPTV Smarters Pro Premium costs $6.99 on the Canadian App Store, and it adds app features, not channels. Our IPTV Smarters Pro subscription guide explains the split.

Free players work too. Our V12Mate app is free on Android and Fire TV.

Sales tax

One seller in our survey adds tax at checkout. Canada’s GST/HST rules for digital-economy businesses took effect on July 1, 2021. Some sellers based outside Canada may now have to charge GST/HST.

Renewals and “regular” prices

One seller renews plans automatically unless you switch it off. Three show a crossed-out “regular” price that makes the real one look like a deal.

Our plans never renew on their own. You pay once, and you message us when you want another year.

When a price is too cheap: the math behind lifetime plans

A lifetime plan only saves money if the service outlives its break-even date. One seller in our survey asks $300 CAD for lifetime access, next to its own $99.99 year.

Break-even in months = lifetime price ÷ monthly cost of a 12-month plan.

  • Against that seller’s own year ($8.33 a month), $300 pays off after 36 months.
  • Against a $59.99 year ($5.00 a month), $300 pays off after 60 months, or five years.
  • If the service stops after 18 months, you paid $16.67 a month. That is more than three times a $5.00-a-month plan.

No seller can promise five more years of the same channels. A lifetime offer is a bet on the seller, not a discount.

IPTV subscription vs cable: what you keep each year

Cable and telco TV bill every month and often add a box rental. Our guide to IPTV providers in Canada compares Bell, TELUS and Rogers over a full year, in CAD.

12 months for $59.99, or $53.99 with crypto

Our 12-month plan costs $59.99 CAD, about $5.00 a month for one device. That is below every 12-month IPTV subscription price in our survey. Pay with crypto (BTC, USDT or ETH) and it drops 10%, to $53.99.

Card, Interac e-Transfer and Remitly pay the standard price. Start with the free 24-hour trial on your own TV, and our 7-day refund policy covers you after you pay.
