IPTV and Vancouver Time: B.C.’s New Time Zone, Start Times and Guide Fixes
IPTV Vancouver time is changing: from November 1, 2026, B.C. stays on Pacific time (UTC-7) all year and no longer turns the clocks back, so your TV guide should show the same local hours in winter as in summer. If the listings look an hour or three off, it is almost always a device setting, and it takes about two minutes to fix. The plan we recommend is $59.99 CAD for 12 months, about $5.00 a month, and the free 24-hour trial lets you check the guide on your own TV first.

What B.C.’s new time zone means for IPTV Vancouver time
B.C. made its last clock change on March 8, 2026. On November 1 the clocks stay put, and the province moves to one year-round zone, Pacific time (PCT), seven hours behind UTC. The Province explains the details on its page about B.C.’s new time zone.
Vancouver stops changing, but much of the world does not, and that is what shifts IPTV Vancouver time against other cities:
- Toronto and the East: 3 hours ahead in summer, 2 hours ahead in winter.
- Seattle and the US West Coast: the same time in summer, 1 hour behind Vancouver in winter.
- The UK: 8 hours ahead in summer, 7 hours ahead in winter.
- Alberta: 1 hour ahead all year, since Alberta also stops changing its clocks on November 1.
- India: 12.5 hours ahead all year.
IPTV Vancouver time: when the big events start
Summer means roughly mid-March to late October, while the East and the UK are on daylight time; winter is the rest of the year.
| Event | Summer | Winter |
|---|---|---|
| Premier League, 3 p.m. UK | 7 a.m. | 8 a.m. |
| Premier League early kick-off, 12:30 p.m. UK | 4:30 a.m. | 5:30 a.m. |
| NFL early games, 1 p.m. ET | 10 a.m. | 11 a.m. |
| Eastern NHL games, 7 p.m. ET | 4 p.m. | 5 p.m. |
| Toronto prime time, 8 p.m. ET | 5 p.m. | 6 p.m. |
| Seattle evening news, 6 p.m. local | 6 p.m. | 7 p.m. |
| Canucks home games | 7 p.m. | 7 p.m. |
Cricket times no longer shift, since India stays 12.5 hours ahead all year; our guide to Indian IPTV in Vancouver covers that lineup. For everything that streams live, see IPTV live TV in Vancouver.
Why is my IPTV guide showing the wrong time?
Your player app draws the guide in the time zone set on your device, so most IPTV Vancouver time problems come down to one setting. The size of the error tells you which:
- 2 or 3 hours ahead: the device is set to Eastern time.
- 1 hour behind from November 1: the device still uses the old B.C. rules and fell back on its own, mostly on older TVs and boxes without a recent update.
- 7 or 8 hours off: the device is on UTC or UK time.
- Clock right, guide wrong: the time zone is fine, but the app’s guide offset is set to something other than 0.
How to fix IPTV Vancouver time in 3 steps

- Set the device clock. In Settings, then Date and time, turn on automatic time and choose Vancouver or Pacific time. Then install any system update, because updates carry the new B.C. rules.
- Zero the guide offset. In the player app, open the EPG or TV guide settings and set the time shift to 0.
- Refresh the guide. Reload the EPG, or close and reopen the app.
Still an hour behind after November 1? Your device has not learned the new B.C. rules yet. If it lists them, choose a time zone that stays at UTC-7 all year, such as Yukon (Whitehorse) or Dawson Creek. They match Vancouver exactly and never change, which fixes IPTV Vancouver time for good. Setting up a new device? Our page on how an IPTV subscription works in Vancouver covers the app and the login.
The morning after November 1, 2026, open the guide and compare it with your phone. If the TV is an hour behind, use the fix below. Two minutes, and it is done for good.
East and West feeds: why channels appear twice
Many networks send an East and a West version of the same channel. The East feed runs 2 to 3 hours ahead, which is handy when you want tonight’s big show at 5 or 6 p.m. instead of 8. Seeing a channel twice is a feature, not a mistake.
One new wrinkle for IPTV Vancouver time in winter: US West feeds follow Seattle, so from November their 8 p.m. shows start at 9 p.m. here.
